I CAN’s Lord’s Gala in support of Million Lost Voices Appeal
On Tuesday 16th June, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s Home of Cricket hosted a charity Gala for I CAN to raise funds for our Million Lost Voices Appeal, which has supported 30,000 children aged 4-7 years with delayed language in 2,000 primary schools across the UK.
The weather was perfect to enjoy the rare opportunity of stepping out onto the hallowed turf at Lord’s. A Q&A rounded off the evening’s entertainment with cricketing legends Graham Gooch OBE, Angus Fraser MBE and Darren Gough. Simon Hughes, former England cricketer, journalistand author was the Master of Cermonies. . We raised funds for the Appeal through a Live Auction hosted by Nicolas Martineau from Christies.
Thank you to all our kind supporters – and the MCC for hosting this superb event. All proceeds raised will go towards supporting children in the UK who struggle to communicate. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Gala, and for all of those who supported the event and ensured its success.
