Dawn House School secures ‘Outstanding’ rating in Ofsted Care inspection
We’re thrilled to be able to share the news that Dawn House School has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ in their Ofsted Care inspection, less than a year since their ‘Outstanding’ rating for the school overall.
The Ofsted Care inspection took place on 12th – 14th January 2015 and judged Dawn House School’s provision as ‘Outstanding’ in all 5 areas.
Highlights from the report include:
-“The school provides a specialist service that promotes each individual’s strengths and abilities. Student outcomes are outstanding because they are succeeding in their academic and personal life.”
-“Students make exceptional progress in developing their social skills, confidence and personal identity.”
-“Students independence and pathway to employment is maximised. Staff are able to tailor support depending upon the individual’s needs and ability.”
-“Staff work in highly effective partnerships with parents and other professionals from health, social care and education. Students receive seamlessly integrated care and consistent support of exceptional quality.”
Angela Child, I CAN Dawn House School Principal, said, “I am absolutely thrilled that yet again, the commitment of the staff and pupils to create a positive, cooperative and successful school has been recognised by an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection, this time for our Care Provision, less than a year since our ‘Outstanding’ report for the school. We are especially proud that the report recognises the fact that our staff are unyielding in their commitment to providing outstanding outcomes and promoting safety at a high level for students and staff. I would like to thank every pupil, their families and our staff members who all work together to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.”
