New books available on I CAN’s shop: Starving the Anger Gremlin Review
Starving the Anger Gremlin is a workbook of activities designed for young people with anger issues to work through on their own or with a parent or professional to help guide. Based around Cognitive Behavioural Therapy principles, but not advocating to be a ‘session by session’ therapy programme, the workbook provides a step-by-step approach to young people aged ten and over for identifying and managing their anger.
Attractive visuals are used to help break down some of the more abstract concepts, such as how anger affects ‘current and future prospects’ but some young people with speech, language and communication needs and/or additional literacy difficulties may need additional support to understand and apply these.
